OK, We are doing it !

Many have suggested we do a mud-training event over the last few years. After speaking with the folks at LATICRETE, it is here. The first Tile Geeks mudcourse. If you would like to attend, please find the sign up form at the bottom of this post. This can be emailed to Jeffrey Carder jtcarder@laticrete.com or faxed to 951 277-4975. I will be there along with Shaun Haley doing some hands on instruction. While mud is definitely "old school" in the midst of many new products, it is still a time tested viable method and a great skill to have.Mud combined with new products opens many new options as well. Come join us for a couple days. OK, We are doing it ! The program is underway !

Subject: PTK experience. .

I have never been one to say I know everything. Working with LATICRETE products, I've come to have enough confidence on my own because I know the products I use will give me and my client that satisfaction of a job well done.  From HYDRO BAN tile waterproofing products to thinset to the new shower drains.  I learned  so many NEW things in this PTK. I'm now very confident to use LATICRETE Drains.

I would like to thank you for these programs.  The other great benefit is meeting new people in the industry. I met some really nice people. Your entire team in Corona, California are some of the most caring and very knowledgeable representatives.  Gerard really went above and beyond  to accommodate my stay and that I was well informed of ALL the new products from LATICRETE.  Once again, THANK YOU ! For everything that you and LATICRETE International does for us.

"There isn't enough space for me to explain how much I took away from PTK. One very important thing worth mentioning though is that ever since we went there last year, my bottom line has increased. There were so many things that Laticrete offers in terms of support that I didn't even know existed and I utilize them now. A great, simple example is the Lifetime Tile and Stone System Warranty, which has closed more jobs than I can count and justifies my pricing."Jim Picarazzi Jack Splash's Backsplashes and Floors jpicarazzi@gmail.com Rochester, NY Click here for more information regarding Laticrete PTK Educational & Training events.

Training Area

"We were doing a training seminar today in the conference room at the union hall in downtown Boston.

As I walked out to the 'work/training area' I came upon this stall. Totally unprovoked and they didn't even bring me to that area to show me.

Zoom in and see what it says.

To be clear, and some facts -  this is the local 3 union apprentice training school in Boston MA

This year, 15 men and women were trained for five weeks with little or no pay to ultimately join the tile and brick layers union.

Laticrete has partnered with the union to provide all the installation materials & tools necessary for this training. We have consistently done this for over 10 years!"

Laticrete PTK Educational Programs

I received an email:

Henry,
Just a note to let you know that you CAN teach an old dog new tricks. I recently attended the 2 day workshop at the plant in Hamlet, and I was really impressed with the presentations and the people who gave them. Once again, Laticrete has proved to me that they truly are the industry leader in tile and stone setting technology.  I am not surprised. Just impressed. I learned a lot.

I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving, filled with gravy and gratitude.

Sincerely,
Jule McDowell
