Medium Bed Adhesive Mortars

The three medium bed thinsets that we offer:
 
LATICRETE 255 MultiMax® is our premium multi-use mortar that can be applied in both thin or medium bed applications.  It is most often used in architecturally specified applications and has a smooth and creamy consistency for a medium bed while also being non-sag. More info click here.
 
LATICRETE 4-XLT® is a multi-use, non-sag mortar that can be applied in both thin or medium bed applications.  It has good build up and will provide a nice stiff mortar to backbutter the tile to ensure maximum coverage and adhesion. More info click here.
 
LATICRETE Sure Set® is a medium bed thin-set that eliminates the need for back buttering and as a result is installed in a wetter consistency than other medium bed mortars like LATICRETE 4-XLT. More info click here.

Tuscan Leveling System Installation In Progress

A picture of the installation of a 55' diameter medallion installed in the Newark, NJ Performing Arts Center, Installation materials from Laticrete (of course!). Installed using the Tuscan Leveling System for the "plumb & true" setting of the slabs. Creative Edge for the waterjet cutting. Installation materials include HydroBan for crack suppression, Laticrete 220 marble and granite medium bed mortar, SpectraLOCK "Stainless" grout.

Medium Bed Mortars.... nice for floors with low spots

A message from a tile installer: "I used Multipurpose Pro for most of the floor but had a pretty good low spot in one section and used the 255 as a medium bed mortar. It was different for sure but worked great."
