Reference Request Received

I received an email from a tile contractor friend:

"Hi Henry and Kevin,

I know Laticrete cannot take sides with their customers, but would you be willing to write a brief paragraph on our tile work?

We use this to send to serious potential clients and your thoughts would be really appreciated.

No rush, I know you both are very busy. And if it is company policy that you don’t provide referrals for contractors I completely understand.

Here is a recently completed project in Makena, South Maui.  Existing on grade concrete deck. We used vacuum attached grinders to remove high spots and to provide a clean bonding surface.

Shrinkage cracks were treated with Laticrete Hydrobarrier with fabric reinforcment.

18” tumbled travertine was set with 4XLT and grouted with Permacolor Mushroom. Movement joints filled with Latasil.

All Laticrete products from Hawaiian Ceramic Tile in Kahului,Maui."

My Reply to Isaac:

Why I am comfortable writing a referral for Isaac Homza:

Because he is a true craftsman.  Because he does carefully thought out, carefully planned beautiful tilework.  Because he is the type of tile installer that we would want on our own tile and stone installations ! Because we believe that we are fortunate to be Isaac's installation materials choice on his projects.

"Isaac Homza is a true tile and stone craftsman. He is meticulously careful regarding planning and preparing his tile and stone projects.  He is careful and thoughtful regarding the overall installation process from materials selection to Jobsite preparation to actual installation of the tile or stone to final Jobsite cleanup."

Commercial kitchen renovation
Hi Henry,
This is how we spent our Thursday night. Started at 10pm finished up at 7:30 am. Commercial kitchen renovation in Kahului, Maui. Existing kitchen floor was painted concrete. We degreased and grinded the floor. Then installed Metropolitan abrasive quarry tile with Laticrete 253R and grouted with Spectralock IG.
