Laticrete Middle East took the spotlight at the BIG5 construction show in Dubai, UAE this year as a Construction Solutions Partner. Laticrete Middle East maximized visibility with 2 booths - one indoor  and one outdoor. In addition Laticrete Middle Was was a Gold Sponsorship of the event.

The Laticrete logo was on display across the Dubai World Trade Center site on banners in front of each hall on the columns with pointing arrows in the main hallways.  In addition there were 3 Laticrete logo cubes at the main entrance, 2 electronic boards on top of the entrance from Trade Center Metro Station and 3 tower displays next to a rather large welcome sign across the World Trade Center Metro Station.

The Laticrete logo and message was prominently blazed by the Laticrete SUPERCAP truck in the outdoor Middle East Concrete area. The LATICRETE-SUPERCAP truck system made its International and Middle Eastern debut and generated tremendous interest from contractors operating in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Nigeria.

SPARTACOTE and SUPERCAP demonstrations were streaming live on the VIDEO WALL hanging above the indoor Laticrete booth so that booth visitors could get in on the action going on outside. 

Historically, the Laticrete brand is well received in the Middle East region. Visitors from far and wide, from Abu Dhabi and Saudi Arabia to Africa, spoke of the reputation and integrity of Laticrete waterproofng, adhesives, grout products and unique technical services. Our presence at the Big5 was a strategic move to launch the new product lines and to present our new Laticrete SPD products to the UAE and developing construction markets in the Middle East and African continent .

Laticrete International division management was active meeting with key players driving the UAE self-levelling market at the LATICRETE-SUPERCAP pavilion. The energy remained high throughout the week, visitors were inquisitive and showed active interest following demonstrations.

End of Year Race Stats

"Hi Everyone!

Hope everyone is doing well.

Here are a few end of year stats on Joey.  It was really a great season for him,  He continued to race at Bethel Motor Speedway in New York, Stafford Motor Speedway and of course, his home track of Waterford, CT.

Legend Pro Division:

National:  21st place out of 210 drivers.

State of CT:  3rd place out of 10 drivers in the Pro Division

Thursday Thunder:  4th place out of 35 drivers

Claimed 6 'Feature' wins and numerous top 5 finishes throughout the season.

The last race of the season was a 2-day race in October.  "Battle of the Sound" which was a huge race that drew old and new drivers from all over New England.  Saturday time trials (determined who would make it into the race) and Sunday was the actual race.  Joey did fantastic.  He placed 2nd in the trials (out of 52 cars!!) and started 7th in the actual race.  He got up to 4th place when he was hit from behind which spun him out and sent him to the back.  He managed to make it back up to 4th place (passing well over 21 cars) when his motor then had a malfunction which caused him to pull off the track.  Needless to say, we all knew he did fantastic.

Laticrete Racing was highly recognized throughout the entire racing season as it was announced at every win and top 5 finishes Joey had.

Next year will be an exciting year as the 2016 Nationals will be held in Waterford, CT.   Drivers from all over the world will be attending this.  Very exciting.

Ron Munnerlyn - Senior Director of Operations - Laticrete

From Ron:

I clinched the SCCA Southeastern US Championship with a win in the final race at Savannah, Georgia.  Approximately 100 drivers competed during the season and the championship came down to last race with 3 drivers vying for the win.  I was fortunate to earn the overall pole position and then go on to win the race.

I want to thank Laticrete, and particularly David and Henry, for supporting my endeavors over the past 10 years.  It’s been more and more difficult to be competitive as my work responsibilities increase and the sponsorship dollars I receive for Laticrete have allowed me to make the show.

The racing community is loaded with engineers, contractors and architects who approach me at every race with questions about our company and interest in our latest products or acquisitions.   Additionally, I’ve made an attempt to stop at our distributors business as I travel to races.  While difficult to measure, I do believe there has been a positive effect from the Laticrete sponsorship of my car.

Again, thanks to all who have helped through sponsorship, encouragement and other support.  I could not have done it without you!
